  • P. Elliott Burnside - Chief Executive Officer

    Elliott has more than 30 years of experience as a senior executive, providing financial, operational, and manufacturing advisory and restructuring services. He has significant expertise in strategic planning, P&L leadership, assessments of functional areas, manufacturing processes and practices, cash management, cost reductions and operational improvements.

    He has held various senior executive level positions, including as President of Crowley American Transport, President and CEO of Bulk Materials, Inc., President of Trailer Bridge, Inc., and President and COO of Jones Truck Line, Inc.

    He holds a B.S. in Transportation from Mississippi State University.
  • Greg Gernert - Chief Financial Officer

    Greg has 20 years of financial experience, most recently as Chief Financial Officer for Casey Industrial, Inc., a Broomfield, Co. based industrial contractor serving the energy, process manufacturing, wood products and electrical industries. He also served as CFO for Enginuity and Barlow Projects, Inc. in Fort Collins. He holds a B.A. in finance from Fort Lewis College and an MBA from Colorado State University.
  • Jamie Black – Vice President

    Jamie has worked for the Hettinger companies for over 18 years. As the company has grown Jamie’s responsibilities grew. He started as a welder’s helper and is now responsible for over 250 people in our Wyoming operations as well as large capital construction projects.
  • Jim Claunch – Vice President

    Jim started his career over 25 years ago at Public Service of Colorado which is now Xcel Energy. He has held executive positions in Colorado engineering consulting firms and joined Mayo Industries as CEO in 2003. After the merger of Mayo Industries with the Hettinger Companies Jim is Vice President in charge of Colorado Operations for the combined firms.
  • Matt Spencer – Area Manager

    Matt’s technical background is as a Master Electrician. He came to Hettinger from Tri-Phase Electric Inc. where he was the owner / operator. Matt also worked for Mountain West / Willbros Construction in all facets of the construction organization.

    Matt is responsible for our Big Piney Wyoming operations which serve Southwest Wyoming and Northern Utah as well as our lead executive for electrical and instrumentation work and part of the executive team for large capital project construction.

  • Eric Richard – Area Manager

    Eric founded Dakota Line Contractors, a leading horizontal boring contracting firm after retiring from a distinguished career in the U.S. Marines. In 2007 we acquired his firm and Eric is now Area Manager for the Dakotas responsible for growing the horizontal boring business line as well as expanding Hettinger services in the Bakken oil play of North Dakota.
  • Shawn Holtz – Area manager

    Shawn has over 25 years experience in construction, most recently for Willbros Construction and their predecessor Mountain West Construction. Shawn has been responsible for hundreds of millions of dollars of major pipeline and compressor station construction projects throughout the Western U.S.

    Shawn is our Area Manager for the Utah and Western Colorado. He is on the executive team for our large capital projects.
