Safety

Commitment to safety
We believe that every Hettinger employee deserves a safe work environment.
Our continuous commitment to safety and responsibility is driven by our management team and proactively woven into the culture in all of our facilities. The procedures we implement focus on the personal safety of the individual, responsible operation of equipment and protection of the environment in which we work. Because safety is a company-wide initiative, our managers have methods in place to measure our success and actively promote improvements.
We are not satisfied with simply reducing the frequency of incidents. Rather, we remain determined to create a culture where unsafe practices cease to exist altogether.
Environmental Health and Safety Policy
Our policy is to conduct all operations safely and responsibly. Safety shall never be sacrificed for production. To this end, we hold every supervisor accountable for the safety performance of his operations, and we task each individual with promoting and improving upon this culture.
The benefits of creating a culture with safety at the core of its values are endless. With safety leading the way, the health and wellness of our employees improves, our reputation in this competitive industry is strengthened and growth and operational expansion is achievable. We remain committed to:
- Reducing personal injury and occupational illness
- Averting damage to equipment and property in all operations
- Promoting public health and safety in all of our work
- Preventing pollution and environmental degradation
Our employees are our most valuable assets. That is why we have gone to such great lengths to put into practice policies and procedures that maintain a safe workplace, protect our workers from bodily harm and minimize the environmental impact of our work. Under no circumstance is urgency an excuse for sidestepping safety. We require our employees to take their time and follow all of our safety regulations and policies.
Training
Our culture of safety is supported by two critical characteristics—training and empowerment. We train our employees in incident prevention, expected safety behaviors and proper machinery operation. It is equally important that we empower them to stop production should a safety concern arise. With training and empowerment as the cornerstone of our culture, our safety program is built for success.
Path to Success
Safety is our highest value and foremost priority. Our commitment to safety at each and every level of our organization allows us to deliver superior services with minimal environmental impact to our valued customers.
