Hettinger has joined four companies under the Hettinger banner

LAKEWOOD, CO – Hettinger, a name long associated with energy industry construction throughout the Rocky Mountain region, has joined four companies under the Hettinger banner and established new headquarters in Lakewood, Colo., outside Denver.
The new venture, which combines Hettinger Welding of Gillette, Wyo., Mayo Industries of Berthoud, Colo., Eagle Excavation and Dakota Line Contractors, is one of the largest energy industry construction firms, with sales last year of $200 million. The firm services the entire Rocky Mountain region, including Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota.
The Company's scope of projects includes pipeline and compressor station construction "from the wellhead to the consumer" for the oil and gas industry, project construction and management for coal mining and power plant maintenance. In 2008, Hettinger partnered with Clearview Capital, a private equity firm in Greenwich, Conn.
"We believe that by bringing these four companies together under one umbrella, we will be better positioned to provide the full suite of our expertise and services to existing clients and procure new opportunities in the oil and gas, mining and power plant industries," said Mark Hettinger, Hettinger CEO and founder of the original Hettinger Welding company.
"We plan to build on Hettinger's solid reputation of customer satisfaction, safety, accountability and reliability," said Hettinger, who is working alongside senior management from the other three firms that have joined the Hettinger family to expand engineering, procurement and construction services for oil, gas and mining clients throughout the region in four core areas:
- Construction of pipelines, compressor stations, processing plants and electrical and instrumentation projects.
- Fabrication for American Society of Mechanical Engineers (A.S.M.E.) vessels, process equipment and custom fabrication.
- Engineering and Project Management for A.S.M.E. Vessel design; pipeline and pipeline facilities design; field construction services; AFE quality estimates; materials procurement.
- Roustabout and Maintenance Services for mine, power plant and pipeline facilities.
Hettinger, headquartered in Lakewood. CO employed over 1400 people at the end of 2008 throughout the Rocky Mountain region. The company is involved in a number of projects, including three $30 million projects in Wyoming: the Bridger Compressor Facility, Questar Gobblers Knob/Compression and Liquids Expansion Project and the Questar Blacks Fork/Compression and Liquids Expansion Project.
