Hettinger Names Joe Hastey Chief Operating Officer

Hettinger, a large energy construction firm, has named Joe Hastey Chief Operating Officer. Hastey, who has extensive experience in leading multi-disciplinary technology teams at a number of companies, will be responsible for the operations of Hettinger, a rapidly growing provider of construction, fabrication and engineering services for oil, gas and mining industries throughout the Rocky Mountain region.
"Joe's experience and leadership abilities in the areas of strategic planning, marketing, operations and finance, are critically important for our company at this critical time of expansion," said CEO Mark Hettinger. Prior to being named COO for Hettinger, Hastey was president of a Denver-based consulting firm that provided leadership, management and strategic consulting to the professional services industry. He also was president of the Southeast Regional Group of AECOM, a global professional services firm in Atlanta, where he was responsible for the strategic development of the company's businesses in transportation, environment and facilities through the southeastern United States. In that post, he coordinated a multi-operating company response to Hurricane Katrina that deployed more than 250 personnel.
From 1999 to 2003, he was chairman and CEO of ARCADIS G&M in Denver, a 2,100-person professional services firm serving clients in environment, buildings, infrastructure, and telecommunications throughout the United States and the United Kingdom.
Hettinger is one of the largest construction firms in the western United States, serving the energy and mining industries.
